Providence College - Hendricken Field

Working with the design team of JJA Sports, LLC and Symmes, Maini, and McKee Associates, we provided surveying, engineering, and stormwater permitting services for the reconstruction of Hendricken Field, which included design and construction of the Ray Treacy Track and a multi-purpose turf field for varsity soccer and other sports.  Caputo and Wick Ltd. developed mapping, conducted drainage analyses, designed a stone-and-pipe recharge system beneath the field (as well as the other site drainage components of the project), provided structural engineering services for the grandstands, provided site design support for grading and utilities, prepared RIDEM RIPDES and Stormwater Discharge System Registration applications, and provided construction layout and construction administration services.  The project was constructed in phases sensitive to on-campus parking needs and active semesters to minimize disruption to the academic community.  Ray Treacy Track at Hendricken Field opened in autumn 2013, and it was named the "Track & Field Facility of the Year" by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) for excellence in design and construction.
